To think about before your visit

It’s not allowed to walk around the fence as this can disturb the moose.

Dogs
Dogs brought to the park need to stay leashed in the parkinglot or outside the Moose barn. They can not come along on the safari ride. The reason for this being that with dogs in the safari the moose will be too scared to approach and will run away instead. Keep in mind that during the summer it gets very hot in the car as we have few shaded places, so if you have your dog with you, we recommend that the group split up so that someone stays with the dog and then go on the next safari.

Safari

We do moose safaris with 3 or 9 carriages with about 16 people in each. The carriages you ride in have a roof and partially open sides so you have the opportunity to pet and feed the moose while you are well protected. Remember not to bring an umbrella on the carriages as the moose think they are scary. There are roofs on the carriages so rain is not a problem.

There is also a playground and a "The floor is lava” track for the kids.

Everyone can go on the safari, from very small children (in the arms or lap) to very old. Even people with reduced mobility can ride as we can take some wheelchairs on board. We always help to get people on board who have a little difficulty.

We run the safari an hour and a quarter apart. The moose must rest and ruminate between trips. The moose safari takes between 30 and 40 minutes.

Groups

We welcome parties or groups almost all year round. There are several ways of organising group visits. One way is bringing your own food and rent the café for your meeting. Another is to order tea and coffee in advance. We also advice larger groups to call in advance and make a reservation.
